Discovery+ Show Art Design for Platform Launch
A New Era of Discovery
Background
Discovery Networks faced a massive challenge: to bring one of the world’s largest video libraries online and compete in the fast-growing streaming space. With only a few months to launch, the network needed a full visual ecosystem – from brand assets and key art to the graphic language of the platform itself. SCS was brought in to partner with Discovery’s internal teams, and I joined as a freelance Production Designer to help create title artwork for over 350 shows and documentaries.
Approach
As a Production Designer, I was responsible for comping, editing, and delivering over 100 digital designs, each scaled and optimized for more than 25 different screen formats. Working alongside creative directors, project managers, and fellow designers, I helped ensure consistency and visual quality across the entire platform library. The final artwork became the face of Discovery+ at launch – contributing to a successful rollout and leading to my full-time hire at SCS.

Process

Results
The show art I produced played a key role in the successful launch of Discovery+, ensuring consistency and quality across hundreds of titles and thousands of live assets. Our team’s ability to deliver under tight timelines strengthened Discovery’s visual identity at launch and the project’s success led to my full-time hire at SCS.
