The Queen Title Sequence

In 2017, I designed the concept for the title sequence for the film: The Queen—as my Sequential Design II midterm. The narrative follows Queen Elizabeth II after the death of Princess Diana. The Queen struggles between keeping her dignity defined by her traditional method of the regime and taking on a new form of rule that adheres to her progressing country.

I used the visual cues, and textures of the printing process as a framing device to inspire the creative direction of the title sequence. It’s a visual representation of tradition and modern media as both play a key figure in driving the film’s narrative forward.
